About me

Talofa (Hello) everyone 🙂

My name is Perenise Melanie Stowers and I am from Samoa.  I arrived in Australia for the very first time on the 6th of January, 2012 and have not stop missing home since :(…don’t get me wrong I like Melbourne but I like ‘home’ more! I am currently enrolled in the Masters of Education course at Victoria University and have completed three units already.  This semester I am enrolled in AED5030 and AED5023 and I hope to pass them both 😉

I studied in New Zealand for my undergraduate degree and graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Teaching degrees. Upon my return I taught at a mission school for girls and have been teaching there since 2002.   I became a Deputy Principal in 2005 and in 2010 the Principal.

My knowledge of computers is limited! During my college years I had nothing to do with computers, what I do know I learned on the go, literally!! However, I am proud to say that I can use the ‘web’ without a problem now so I’m not that lacking in computer knowledge !

My main  goal is to learn all I need to about e-learning and how it will benefit the education system of my country, and to learn for my own pleasure another way of communicating information.

Lastly, I hope to have fun learning about e-learning with you all!
